Should you use a coach who has won awards? And if so, is it best if they have won awards for their coaching or the business that they have built before becoming a coach?
On the weekend my fire business, Fire & Emergency Services SA, won two awards at the Strata Community Association Awards Dinner.
We won an essay award arguing to the industry about why apartment buildings need emergency plans – they don’t currently have a legal requirement to plan for emergencies – so they don’t.
We also won the “Strata Service Business of the Year” award – this is awarded to the service company that best supports strata and community corporations and their managers. This is the third time we have won that award from three nominations.
So what? As you may recall I have built my fire business from being owner centric (where I was central to everything that happened) to being a true business – It has 20 staff and I can run it on 2 hours per day.
And while I now operate it in only a few hours each day it continues to win awards – not just from within our industry but from our customers.
If I can build a business that works without me (and wins awards) then I can help you move from being an operator at the centre of your business to being an owner where your business could work without you. Want to find out how? Then book a discovery call with me to talk about building an award winning business that works without you– no risk, no sales, just clarity on what you need to do next to build the business you want.
