Alan Short

Founder and Lead Business Coach

Alan is our lead coach. For 14 years he has been the Managing Director of his family owned company, Fire & Emergency Services SA.

When he took over the company it was contingent on him, if he was not there then stuff didn't get done. If a service technician had a problem they called Alan, if a client had a problem they called Alan, if the bookkeeper has a problem she called Alan, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ... sound familiar?

With the encouragement of a business coach Alan grew the busienss and evolved the structure so that in 2013 he was able to take a 5 week four wheel drive odyssey with his son and some friends. They were our of contact for 5 weeks. When he returned he was able to catch up in less than half a day. He had made himself redundant from the daily operations of the business.

Since 2012 Alan has been working as a business coach, teaching others what he has learnt. He has also been the most successful contract business coaches for the Polaris Centre (part of the City of Salisbury).

Alan is passionate about eliminating entrepreneurial slavery, which is the trapped feeling that many small business owners have, when you feel like the business controls you, you don't control it. There is a different way!

Having worked closely with businesses from different parts of the world, John has vast exprinace in applying business development programs producing excellent results.

John is a business owner himself and has built a number of businesses throughout his working career. This means that he knows first hand about the challenges of being a business owner and what a differnece it can make to follow the 6 Secrets of Business Success.

John has presented at conferences, business building events, business camps and team building camps in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

In 2001, John developed the 6 Secrets of Business Success, whilst creating the Global Business Camp program. The event was first run in 2002 for 47 people and after 4 years in South Australia has expanded to be a national event.

With 10 national events now completed, John has helped thousands of business owners to master the 6 Secrets to Business Success with fantastic results.

John is focused, dynamic and passionate about helping business owners achieve their dreams.
